Leave me a word.
Tell me it’s the best
That you’ve ever heard.
Tell me it stinks
It is too absurd.
Or that for a moment
Your boredom was cured.
Write me a paragraph.
Write me a letter.
Your reading my writing
Always makes me feel better.
Give me a thumbs up.
An emoticon smile.
It will give me a high
That will last for a while.
I will follow your comment
I will look up your site.
I will comment on YOUR stuff
And we will both feel ALL RIGHT!
Write on, write on!
π
I
Yes, you. You are so lucky to have commented today as I was thinking about a post of yours. So I commented, then searched through all of your posts and read what I could. But I did not find the one I was thinking of! Didn’t you post an amazing picture of a pharmacy. It was Pharmacy1 in Marj Al Hamam? I found it today while out getting lost (my new favorite pastime). I pulled over and took my daughters in with me and looked at everything from the expensive plastic cups to the funky hair dye colors with names like Watermelon Red. We bought two lip glosses and left so pleased. Just wanted to share.
I don’t see how anyone can read this and not drop you a line π
Thanks, Ola. This poem started out as something else, but I’ll take some compliments. No prob! I was trying to say how horrible I am at commenting. I am laughing or agreeing wholeheartedly at someone’s post and the best i can say is “nice poem!” Good one!”
with pleasure,
have a super nice day.
and by the way… i like your attitude.
cool. it worked. have a nice day!
π
nice 1 xxx
thanx!
I like it best
When you tell me it’s funny
Better than the rest
My day is sunny π
And when you post a link
It makes me start to think
That I want to keep blogging
So you guys keep logging
On to my blog everyday
So I’ll take your boredom away π
And I’m not much of a poet
I’m not even tryin’ to show it
I’m leaving the poems to Joyce
Maybe we’ll hear her voice
When she starts singing
The awesome posts she keeps bringing
That bring joy to my heart
Dear Joyce you are always so smart π
isn’t that just how you feel when checking in on your blog and finding comments? Wow, I got you writing poetry! I love it!
Very nice Rand.
Here’s mine: Things that make me feel good.
Falling in love.
Laughing so hard your face hurts.
A special glance.
Singing along with your favorite song on the radio.
Listening to the rain.
Chocolate Icecream.
A bubble bath.
Giggling.
The beach.
Laughing at yourself.
Listening to birds sing.
Swinging on swings.
Holding hands with the one you love.
Watching a sunset.
Joyce.
Oooh, I like that, Wendy. ESPECIALLY that last one. Thanks, you sweet thing you.
Hee hee. I just reread this while quickly glancing through. I read Falling so hard your face hurts. That would not be good.
Hah! That was cute! Could’ve never dreamt of a poem of comments! π
Here’s something for you..
Charming and neat
Such are your words
Rhythmic and sweet
Like li’l yellow birds (I mean Tweety!)
A word is too short
A story tad long
But this was my shot
May your verses flow along..
π
Happy Sunday!! And keep writing …
Thanks, Kavita! That was the way I dream a comment to be (not nightmarish as your last poem)! And thanks for the emoticon smile!
Oh, by the way, Kavita, you are in a round about kind of way the inspiration of this little rhyme. I was looking at your stuff in AWE of the number of comments you get!
wooohooo… big words those!! “inspiration” and all.. π
Gee.. THANKS !!!
Ohh…and sorry about the nightmarish poem … It was my attempt at catering to the “other” kind of readers π just kidding.. I was just trying to sound “dark” while simultaneously maintaining the “my”ness in it with the rhyme π
Will knock on your door with the next cheery piece π
Keep smiling, and have a joyous week ..
Fun! I love your playfulness here π I apologize for not returning your visit sooner, but I am just back online.
